About the event
Using real audio recordings from Hind Rajab's emergency services call, the film follows responders from the Palestinian Red Crescent Society as they try to find a safe rescue route for the child, who is trapped in a car full of her deceased family in Gaza.
Hind Rajab's story sparked international outrage. Her story resonates far beyond her individual tragedy. This brutal act of genocidal violence by the IDF was broadcast for the world to see. The Hind Rajab Foundation remembers her as a symbol of resistance, a child whose life and story demand justice.
The Voice of Hind Rajab was nominated for Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards. Despite the film's success, it was the target of smear campaigns.
