Films from Seoul kicks off with The Host (2006), Bong Joon-ho’s genre-bending monster film that blends social satire, family drama and blockbuster thrills. Long before Parasite, Bong established his signature style here: tense, darkly funny, and politically sharp, with moments of real emotional weight.
