About the event
NO OTHER LAND
Basel Adra, a Palestinian activist, films his community of Masafer Yatta being destroyed by Israel's occupation. He crosses paths with Yuval, an Israeli journalist, who joins his struggle, and for five years they fight together against the expulsion.
Their complex bond is haunted by the extreme inequality between them: Basel, living under a brutal military occupation, and Yuval, unrestricted and free.
The film documents the Apartheid and inhumanity which continues to devastate lives across the region. It was co-created by a Palestinian-Israeli collective of four young activists as an act of creative resistance and a search for a path towards equality and justice.
No Other Land won Best Documentary Feature at the 2025 academy awards. Three weeks later co-Director Hamdan Ball was attacked at his home by armed settlers, detained and mistreated by the IDF.
