Christy tells the story of a 17-year-old youth kicked out of his foster home and now living with his older half-brother Shane, his wife Stacey, and their baby in Cork’s Northside. Though meant as a temporary arrangement, Christy begins to feel it might finally be home. Between newfound friendships, the pull of his past, and danger from extended family, the film dances between hardship and hope. It’s gritty, tender, funny, and full of Cork-character, and a beautiful watch at Pigment Space.
